It takes a TEAM to build a Village

 Janelle Fetterson McEachin was born in Charlotte, NC. As a child she had a love for teaching and knew that would be her destiny. Since her teenage years, Janelle has worked with youth and children. Janelle has served children and families in various capacities. She has been a camp counselor, camp director, schoolteacher, school administrator, and so much more. Her passion is helping young people dream and do life big. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She also received a Graduate Teaching Certificate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Currently Janelle is a teacher in the United Arab Emirates. Though she is currently abroad, we are sure Janelle will help us continue to have an impact in and around our community. 

Native to Allentown, April is actively involved in the Lehigh Valley/Philadelphia areas for over 25 years as a Community Organizer, Advocate for the youth, community event planning, Life Coach, Political Consulting &  she is a great strategist! April has been part of the following developments: HOT 101.net (Program Development) 2010-present, Executive Board Member to Dress 4 Success, 2014-2021, Board Member/League Rep/Coaching Staff Coordinator/Secretary for the Allentown Athletic Association-Allentown's A's (over 30 yrs- present), Elected Democratic PA State Committee for Lehigh County Rep 2008-2011, Executive Board Member to PA Democratic Latino Caucus- Presently serving, Executive Board Lehigh County and Ward Leader 2008- present, Executive Committee NAACP 2015-present, Executive Member to Allentown Democratic Committee(served over 8 yrs), current projects - I Thrive-community networking/marketing consisting of consultations, project planning, event coordination & more! April believes community engagement is vital in educating our community on the value of life and the importance of their VOICE! In addition to all of the above ,April advocates for the Right to Vote, while working during every election. 

April is truly a force to be recognized and we are proud to have her on our Board. 

November 7, 2023- CONGRATS to April for winning the Lehigh County Commissioner at Large!  We are honored to have her serve on our Board.
