Youth & Teen Renovations was founded in 1995 by a group of community members who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to helping homeless individuals. Since then, we have grown into a thriving nonprofit, serving hundreds of individuals each year.

YOUTH & TEEN RENOVATIONS

At Youth & Teen Renovations (YTR), our mission is to support the renovation of the mind, body, and soul by providing youth and teens with safe spaces, mentorship, life skills, educational support, and positive opportunities for growth.

Over the past two years, YTR has continued to provide consistent support and mentorship to local youth and teens within the Allentown community. Through daily engagement, relationship-building, and structured programming, we have witnessed meaningful behavioral, emotional, and social growth among the participants we serve.

Youth & Teen Renovations currently serves:

• Up to 10 youth participants
• Up to 5 teen participants

Our participants include youth who benefit from:

• Mentorship and positive role models
• Structured afterschool support
• Social-emotional learning
• Life skills development
• Academic guidance
• A safe and supportive environment

YTR provides a variety of supportive services and activities, including:

Participants receive:

• Dinner daily
• Healthy snacks

This support helps reduce food insecurity while ensuring youth are nourished and prepared to learn and engage positively.

Youth participate in:

• Homework help
• Reading and educational activities
• Structured learning time
• Encouragement of school responsibility and accountability

Through consistent mentorship, youth receive:

• Emotional support
• Encouragement
• Positive peer interactions
• Conflict resolution guidance
• Accountability and structure

Participants are taught important life skills such as:

• Respect and communication
• Teamwork
• Leadership
• Responsibility
• Decision-making
• Emotional regulation
• Coping skills

Over the past two years, YTR has observed notable positive behavioral changes among participants consistently involved in the program.

Youth & Teen Renovations operates as a community-based support system for youth and families who may otherwise lack access to affordable programs, mentorship, and enrichment opportunities.
